Happy Birthday Connnor! 6 Years Old! We Love You!

We had a great birthday party at the Holiday Inn swimming pool with your friends. Today, you took spider cupcakes to your kindergarten class. Ooh, spiders!!

Tonight, we had a celebration with nana, papa, grandma, aunt Amy... we had a great time. You chose to have pumpkin pie for you birthday cake. Yummmmm.... You helped me make it this afternoon. We love you! Happy Birthday!

Here I go..... 7 random facts.

1.) My husband, Chris and I share the same birthday, January 13th!!! Yey!

2.) I had my 3rd child, Kyle, 4 days after I turned 30 years old! 3 for thirty!!

3.) I have so many hobbies/interests, I can't imagine being "bored". Spending time with my family, being outdoors, skiing (downhill/cross-country), scrapbooking, photography, cross-stitching, music, hiking, traveling etc...

4.) Chris and I met at the University of Idaho. He was a Beta and I was a Delta Gamma. Chris was a fixture on our couch in the Delta Gamma house. He was friends with all of the girls before I arrived. :) During my sophomore year, a friend set us up on a date and we were then inseperable. We have been best friends ever since. We have been married 10 years!!

5.) I love to travel! Chris and I would love to go to Fiji someday!

6.) A favorite quote of mine is "Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we respond to it."

7.) I love our Lord, Jesus Christ! He is who gives me strength!

Bedtime

Tonight, Kyle helped me tuck in Brooklynn and Connor. Brooklynn was so tired she was asleep before the lights were turned off. :) Kyle noticed she was asleep, so he climbed up on her bed and gave her "fluffy" Brooklynn's favorite stuffed dog. He then leaned over and gave her a kiss. This was a very special moment. I ran down stairs to get the camera to take a picture. Kyle then tucked in Connor, his "big" brother.

Beautiful Coeur d' Alene

One of my favorite things to do in the fall is go to Coeur d' Alene Lake. Gorgeous!

The kids spent alot of the time trying to catch a seagul! This is always very entertaining to watch. :)

We also love to play in the stream. Connor and Brooklynn float sticks all the way down the stream and into the lake. Kyle is very entertained by brother and sister.

First Day of School

Connor and Brooklynn's first day of school. Connor started Kindergarten and Brooklynn started Pre-Kindergarten.

They absolutely love school! Brooklynn has met a good friend named Elli. She lives in our neighborhood. Their faces light up when they see each other in the morning. Three of her classmates are in her ballet class afterschool on Wednesdays. This makes it extra fun.

Connor is doing very well in school and looks forward to Friday's because of P.E. He loves to race and play soccer. He has two friends from Pre-K in his class and has made a new friend named Brady.

It is a joy to watch them excel in their classrooms!

I always thought it would be hard to let go, but it is so fun to see them look forward to school each day!

Spokane Indians Game

In September, we enjoyed a Spokane Indians game! Go Indians! Go Otto! The kids really love to see the mascot Otto! The kids enjoyed it so much we stayed the entire game.

Splish, Splash in the Bath... Bath was one of Kyle's first words! He loves to take a bath after dinner. :)

Last week, we were able to go on an outing as a family! We went to Carver Farm's with Connor and Brooklynn's kindergarten and Pre-K class. We had a great time going through the corn maze, picking corn, pumpkins and taking a hay ride! We were so thrilled to go as a family!
